What is this lesson?
You get to choose. But which one do you want? In this lesson, pick out your favorite 3D building blocks. Each one is a different color, so you have to decide which one you like best.
If you're offered a red crayon and a blue crayon, how do you tell someone which one you'd rather have? This lesson introduces questions and answers so you'll know what to say. This lesson is about much more than blocks. Once you've learned the sentence patterns used in this lessons, you'll know what to say whether you are offered a blue block or a yellow block, this book or that book, or even milk or orange juice! Each sentence you learn can change to become many others.

How do I teach this lesson?
This lesson reviews colors, but even more importantly, it teaches the sentences, "Do you want [block]? I want the [block]." This is an incredibly foundational sentence, that students need to practice over and over.
A good game you can play with this lesson is the Do You Want? Game. This game is played with any set of objects you want, and teaches the basic "Do you want... ?" question.
