What is this lesson?
Do you like animals? In this lesson you'll enter a LEGO world and get to experience a zoo. Find the big LEGO animals as the zoo keepers ask where they are.
If you want to find something, you need to be able to ask where it is. This lesson teaches the important sentence, "Where is the _____?" This sentence works great for animals, but it works for other things too.

How do I teach this lesson?
This lesson introduces animals and the basic sentence, "Where is the Tiger?" You can use this sentence to teach the names of all the animals. Flashcards and games are very effective in teach this lesson.
One game in particular is made for this lesson, the Where is the Monkey? Game. Download the free flashcard sheet for this lesson, which has all the animals on piece of paper. Ask the question, "Where is the Monkey?" and have your student point to that animal on the piece of paper. Then have that student ask the question to the next student.
If you have animal toys, they work well to teach this lesson. Or you can use the flashcards to the same purpose.
The main focus of this lesson is the "Where is the... ?" sentence pattern. Make sure that students learn it well!
