What is this lesson?
Learn about things that move! There's lots of ways to get around. You can stay on the ground, go through the air, even go through the water! You can ride on a space shuttle, a truck, a school bus, or a submarine. This exciting lesson teaches the names of different forms of transportation.
It's good to know the names of lots of different objects: cars, jets, boats. But you need to do more than know what an object is; you have to be able to say what it's called when you see it and say it properly. This lesson teaches the important sentence pattern "Can you say...?"

How do I teach this lesson?
This lesson introduces various forms of transportation: cars and buses, planes and helicopters, ships and sailboats. In addition to watching the DVD, flashcards are one of the best ways to teach this lesson. This lesson also introduces the sentence "Can you say...?" You can use the flashcards to reinforce both this key sentence and the names of things that move. For example, go to your students one by one and ask them, "Can you say Jet?... Can you say Motorcycle?," each time waiting for them to answer by saying the name of the transportation form.
